We’re delighted to announce that our partners, Axolight, will be participating in the upcoming ARCHITECT@WORK Toronto, the exclusive trade event for architects, interior designers, and specifiers. (Want free tickets? Read on!) At the show, Axolight will debut their new Alysoid collection, a series of stunning suspension lights designed by Japanese designer Ryosuke Fukusada.

The new Alysoid is a collection of aluminum hand crafted suspension lights characterized by precious, draped chains that define the diffuser. The design and the name of Alysoid take their inspiration from the world of geometry and architecture. In geometry, the alysoid, also known as “catenary” or “catenary arch,” is the curve formed by a flexible chain suspended from its endpoints. This unique curve has been used by many famous architects such as Spanish Antoni Gaudi, who described the catenary arch as “the most beautiful shape in nature.”
